Shai's "Rapunzel"

Shai created several of the caricters from the story of Rapunzel.
Below on the right you can see a drawing Shai make of Rapunzel with her golden hair and roses covered dress. On the left is the witch which trapped Rapunzel.
There where other drawings of the tower and a horse which other girls from Shai's kindergarden helped prepare so they can play out the whole story.

Check out the very nice details and use of color in the below pictures.
The witches broom is filled with several different shades.
Rapunzel's dress is filled and meny small and details rosses - not simple and requires a lot of patience to draw.

Shai's rainbow, rain and dragon story

When the sky was blue, the sun came out so there was a magical day and the drops of rain stopped and the rainbow was still there.
The little drop fell asleep and went away.
The ground was grumbling so a big dragon came out and there were a lot of dragons of all all different colors.

Shai's lion art work

Shai created this all by herself from memory.
She worked on it for a full hour in her kinder garden.
It is made from play-dough in different colors and protected with a coat of varnish on top.

Vacation in London

Dalia, Shai and I had a lovely weekend at the Shapiro's house in Essex, England.
We met with uncle Polko, Susan & David, Clair, David and Sam, Philip and Sarah.
We saw Big Ben, made faces at the guards, went on the tube and rode the double decker bus. We even did the London Duck tour.
We ate fish and chips in pubs, drank a lot of bear, wine and champagne.
We had a grate time!

Shai's first literary effort!!

Shai's first literary effort!! She made this story up while she was playing in the bath. I tried to write it down exactly as she said it.
Marianne Cohen

Once upon a time there was a man who went to a river to fish for sharks and the man had magic bubbles. They got bigger and the shark tried to eat the magic bubbles. The man went in an airplane and shouted "no, no" at the sharks. Somebody pushed the sharks back in the river and a whale came and ate them up. The magic bubbles fell in the water and the whale said "Atchoo!". Then the man fell in the water and the whale saved him and the whale came back to live in the man's home.

Jumping together to the swimming pool

Shai, Joe & Alex are going to jump together holding hands into the swimming pool. Shai is three and a half years old and she LOVEs the swimming pool. Jonathan has just started enjoying the pool and after less then 3 visits can already swim by himself in deep waters.
